Guide — How InTown Works
Login / Registration
Click on Login to register as a Client. All you need is the municipality's full legal name, business address, phone number and the name of the individuals authorized to provide instructions.
Establishing Pricing Preference
Choose the most appropriate pricing model for the legal needs of your municipality. For additional information, download the Pricing (PDF) and discuss with InTown the best option. Please contact InTown directly for Shared Pricing.
Retainer Agreement
Download and execute the Retainer Agreement from the Login page. Only municipally authorized individuals can sign the Retainer Agreement.
Deposit Retainer Amount
Email or deposit the agreed upon retainer amount in InTown's trust account. The deposited funds can be used on any municipal legal project.
Open a File / Attach Information
Open a file online from the Login page and upload any information that may assist in providing the legal assistance required. You can also open a file via a call or an email.
Receive Legal Assistance
Call or email InTown to receive the legal support or assistance you require. Calls or emails will be returned within 4 to 7 hours.
Close a File
Once a specific legal matter is concluded, InTown will bill your municipality as previously agreed and will close your file.

Recognizing that clients set out to pay for services and not time spent, InTown offers value pricing alternatives to address any municipal legal needs and budgetary challenges.

About

InTown offers municipalities and communities accessible external counsel who listens, communicates, takes care and treats them and their issues with respect. Through use of technology to facilitate processes, InTown brings affordable legal services to any client working within a limited budgetary framework.

Principal of the law firm, Stefan Zhelev practiced municipal law, mining/commercial law, and civil litigation, at northern Ontario's largest law firm before joining City of Greater Sudbury as Assistant City Solicitor. Stefan envisions InTown as the pioneer in delivering quality legal services to the municipalities and communities of Ontario, educating clients on their ongoing rights and obligations, and building long-lasting relationships.
